India’s #1
New Car Buying Platform
After the Hyundai Alcazar, the South Korean car brand plans to launch the second-generation Venue in India. It is expected to make a global debut next year and come with a host of new features. Here are the key changes that we expect it to have:
Going by spy shots shared by Healer TV, the sub-compact SUV will have a similar boxy design. Much cannot be said about the dimensions of the SUV as it was covered under heavy camouflage. The refreshed front fascia will have a new grille, LED DRLs and headlamp cluster. The connected taillamps will also be updated and will resemble that of the Hyundai Creta. Notably, the alloy wheels look more aerodynamic and in line with EVs.
The new dashboard will boast two screens, likely to be shared with other SUVs in the Hyundai family including the Creta and Alcazar. The current 8-inch touchscreen may be upgraded to a 10.25-inch unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Even the steering wheel, seats and switchgear will be shared. A panoramic sunroof (single-pane in the current model) could also be offered this time, reports suggested.
As the Mahindra XUV3XO comes with Level 2 ADAS, Hyundai may upgrade the same in the Venue, which gets Level 1 currently. The entire Hyundai India lineup gets 6 airbags as standard. Other features in the safety kit include ABS with EBD, hill assist, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, TPMS and brake assist system.
The current Venue gets these powertrains:
Engine |
1.2L NA Petrol |
1L Turbo Petrol |
1.5L Diesel |
Power (bhp) |
81 |
118 |
114 |
Torque (Nm) |
113.8 |
172 |
250 |
Transmissions |

6MT |
Hyundai may continue selling the existing engines and transmissions with the upcoming Venue. Reportedly, the 1.5-litre diesel will also be continued until new emission norms come into effect sometime in 2027.
