JSW MG Motor India has launched the 2025 Comet EV in the country at a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh + Battery-as-a-Service at Rs 2.5/km. Interested buyers can book the 2025 MG Comet EV and the recently launched Comet Blackstorm edition at the nearest MG dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000.
The 2025 MG Comet EV is available in 5 distinct variants - Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charge. The Excite trim is now equipped with a rear parking camera and power folding outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs).
The Exclusive and Exclusive FC variants are now equipped with premium leatherette seats and a 4-speaker audio system. The Fast Charging variants are fitted with a 17.4 kWh battery pack and offers a driving range of up to 230 km on a single charge.
The company had introduced the Comet Blackstorm edition in February 2025. This Blackstorm edition of the Comet EV is priced at Rs 7.80 lakh with Battery-as-a-Service at Rs 2.5 per km. This model is finished in a 'Starry Black' paint with dark chrome, black badges and red accents.
In terms of features, the city car gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch driver's display, leatherette seats with 'Blackstrom' embroidery, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four-speaker audio system and electronically adjustable ORVMs.
MG is offering smart ownership package with MG e-Shield, which cover repairs and service costs for Comet EV. The 3-3-3-8 service package provides - 3 years or 1 lakh km warranty, 3 years Roadside Assistance (RSA), 3 free labour services - first 3 scheduled services and 8 years or 1 lakh 20 thousand km warranty.

While the teaser does not reveal significant details, it is already known that the Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition is expected to debut around the 2025 IPL season, which starts on March 22.
