Citroen is set to launch the dark edition of the Basalt model very soon. Apart from this model, the C3 Aircross and C3 are also likely to get a dark edition later this year. The automaker has recently dropped a teaser for the Basalt Dark Edition on social media. Although much can't be seen in the short clip of the teaser, the car is seen with the majority of updates for the dark edition.
Here are more insights about the new edition teaser and what it shows us.
The teaser suggests some majority of updates for the exterior that the Basalt’s dark edition is expected to get. Elements like an all-black exterior paint option, along with some other blacked-out elements, including ORVMs, grille, and alloy wheels are very likely to be offered by the automaker.
The inside of the car will continue the dark theme with black upholstery. In the teaser, there is no look of the interior so it is expected that the interior layout would be the same with black elements. As for the dashboard, it is likely to be offered with a blacked-out tone. Also, the tech features are likely to have no change and offer the same 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, auto AC, and a 6-speaker sound system.
The dark edition is expected to be limited to the top-spec variant and offered with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol (80.8bhp and a peak torque of 115Nm) paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol (109bhp and 190Nm peak torque) mated with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
