When launched in 2022, the Citroen C3 initially was offered with two variants; Feel and Live. In the past month, the company added a new top-spec variant named Shine for its C3 hatchback. However, it was launched only with the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine. Today, the French automaker has announced the launch of the Shine Turbo engine which is compliant with BS6 Phase 2 Emission Norms alongside updated features. In addition, the new Shine variant is available in different versions; Shine, Shine Vibe Pack, Shine dual-tone, and Shine dual-tone with Vibe Pack. Check out more details:
With the new update, the C3 hatchback is offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This powertrain option is capable of making 110 bhp of power and 190 Nm of peak torque. Besides, it is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Before this, the new variant was only available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine which generated 82 bhp and 115 Nm torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Citroen has also confirmed that both powertrain options are now compliant with BS6 Phase 2 Emission Norms.
The top-of-the-line variant of the Citroen C3 hatchback now receives new features. These include adjustable ORVMs, day/night manual IRVM, a rear parking camera, fog lights, 15-inch diamond cut alloys, rear skid plates, a rear wiper/washer, and a rear defogger. Apart from that, the hatchback is available with My Citroen Connect app which supports around 35 connectivity features. Besides, it now offers equipment such as Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Electronic Stability Control, engine auto start/stop, Hill-Hold Control and ABS with EBD.
The price of the turbo variants of the hatchback stands at Rs 8.28 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Feel Dual Tone while the Feel Turbo Dual Tone with Vibe Pack costs Rs 8.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
The C3 Shine Dual Tone comes in at Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom) while its Shine Turbo Dual Tone Vibe Pack is priced at Rs 8.92 lakh (ex-showroom).
