Hyundai Motor India is planning to launch Creta EV in early 2025. Ahead of that, the electric iteration of the Creta SUV spied and confirmed the inclusion of new features. Let's see what we know so far.
The Creta EV will share most of the features with its ICE-powered version. However, a few new additions will be on offer. Based on the spy shots, the electric SUV will have a 3-spoke steering wheel in a circular shape which is inspired by the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The upholstery will have the 'CRETA electric' badging.
Some features will be similar to the regular Creta such as a curvy dashboard, dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment & instrument console, and horizontally placed AC vents.
Other notable features could include an 8-way adjustable driver seat, gear knob, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic temperature control, electric parking brake with auto hold, panoramic sunroof, and front ventilated seats.
On the safety front, the Creta EV will offer six airbags, rear disc brakes, hill start assist control, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps, day & night IRVM, and headlamp escort function. An ADAS suite will also be on offer.
Hyundai Creta EV is expected to have a 45 kWh battery pack, offering a range of around 450 km. Its electric motor can deliver a maximum power of 136 bhp and 255 Nm of torque.
The electric Creta will rival the recently launched MG Windsor and Tata Curvv. The upcoming electric cars such as Mahindra BE.05 and Maruti eVX will be on the competitors list.
