The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra is all set to introduce a wide range of new SUVs including EVs and facelifts of popular cars in 2025. The brand's two bestsellers, XUV700 and Scorpio N, will also receive a mid-life update sometime in 2025. The new Mahindra Scorpio N will come with new features, while XUV700 will receive subtle changes on outside and revised interiors.
Mahindra will soon introduce the long-awaited XUV700 EV, likely to be called the XEV 7e in the country in 2025. The company is also working on the facelift version of the Mahindra XUV700, which could be launched as XUV 7XO in 2025. The biggest change is expected inside the cabin, as it is most likely to receive a three-screen setup. This setup comprising a touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver's display and a display for a co-passenger.
The new model will be equipped with features like wireless charging pad, 12-speaker stereo, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android, powered second-row seats in 6-seater version and others. The SUV is expected to feature LEVEL 2 ADAS features such as automatic emergency braking, lane assist, high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and others. The updated model will continue to be offered with the existing 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
Mahindra's top-seller, the Scorpio N will receive new safety tech and driver assistance system in 2025. The updated Scorpio N will share some of its features with the Thar Roxx. It will come equipped with LEVEL 2 ADAS with features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver Drowsiness Alert, and others.
The SUV is also expected to receive a panoramic sunroof option, which is missing in the current model. The outgoing Scorpio N comes with a single-pane sunroof. Instead of the smaller 8-inch touchscreen unit, the 2025 Mahindra Scorpio N is likely to get a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital driver's display. It will continue to be powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines.
Mahindra has announced a new EV charging policy where customers will decide on the purchase of company-certified charger and installation services for new BE 6 and XUV 9e.
