At the 2023 Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki had showcased its eVX concept. The mid-size SUV is set to become the auto giant’s first pure EV when it is launched in 2025. As the product enters the first stage of R&D, the first test mule has been spotted testing overseas, giving us a few details of what the production version may look like.
The Maruti Suzuki eVX test mule was spotted testing in Poland. As you can see in the spy shots, it is clad in full camouflage. We did notice the swept-back dual projector headlights, a large horizontal bar and a fairly upright front end.
The side profile features silver alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated indicators and a shark fin antenna. At the rear, the eVX gets LED taillights with a connected light bar, raked windscreen, and a bootlid spoiler.
The spy shots also gave us a look at the interiors of the eVX. The eSUV will feature an all-new design unlike anything seen from Maruti Suzuki. Notable elements include a dual-display setup for the infotainment system and instrument console, a floating center console, a two-spoke steering wheel, rotary gear knob, haptic touch climate control buttons and electrically adjustable front seats.
Maruti had revealed earlier that the eVX will use a 60 kWh battery pack. It will power a single electric motor and have a range of around 550 kms on a full charge. However, the brand is yet to reveal the power figures or charging speed of the electric SUV.
The eVX will likely go on sale sometime around mid-2025. Upon launch, it will rival the Hyundai Kona EV and the MG ZS EV.
