Hyundai Motor India Limited has added two new trims - S Smart and SX Smart to its entry-level SUV, Hyundai Exter. The new Exter S Smart is priced at Rs 7.69 lakh, while the SX Smart is tagged at Rs 8.16 lakh. Both trims are available with petrol and CNG powertrains.
S Smart - 7.69 lakh

The new S Smart trim is based on the existing S trim. It gets all the features that are accessible in the S trim. Additionally, the micro SUV gets a single-pane electric sunroof, making it the most affordable Exter variant to have this feature. Other features include LED daytime running lights, LED tail-lights, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear air-con vents and 15-inch steel wheels.
Based on the SX trim, the new SX Smart trim gets keyless entry with push button start/stop system. Other features include rear parking camera, leatherette upholstery for seats, projector headlamps and a shark fin antenna.
Hyundai is also offering several new features as an optional accessories. The optional features include a larger 9.0-litre touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a reverse camera for Rs 14,999. For people not in the know, the standard Exter gets an 8-inch touchscreen unit. Hyundai is also giving 3 year warranty on these genuine accessories.
The Hyundai Exter micro SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 83bhp and 114Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. In CNG mode, the powertrain produces 69hp and 95.2Nm of torque. It is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
