The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra has officially announced to introduce a new VISION T concept along with the new NU Freedom platform on 15th August, 2025. Alongside the concept, Mahindra is also likely to launch the new-gen Bolero Neo that has been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads.
The new-gen Mahindra Bolero Neo is reportedly to be based on the existing ladder-frame chassis; however, it will have a completely different design. In fact, the SUV has all-new body panels with no resemblance with the existing model. The spy images reveal that the new Bolero Neo design will be inspired by the Scorpio-N and the Thar Roxx.
The 2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo will come with an all-new front fascia, featuring a new Mahindra grille and a new logo. The grille seems inspired by the new Scorpio-N, but the biggest update is the addition of new circular headlamps that resembles the ones available in the Thar Roxx. The SUV has a more upright front design that adorns a rugged bumper and new LED fog lamps.
The SUV retains the body silhouette, featuring short overhangs and squared-out wheel arches. The big update is that the new Bolero Neo has new glass area, flush-type door handles and a more rugged, prominent body cladding. The SUV gets a newly designed multi-spoke alloy wheels that appears very similar to that of the XUV700’s.
The rear profile has the same side-hinged door and a tailgate mounted spare wheel. It has a more prominent shoulder line that merges nicely with the vertically-stacked tail-lamps.
The new-gen Bolero Neo cabin is likely to receive major changes in the form of new dashboard layout, modern features and premium upholstery. The SUV is likely to get a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display or a semi-digital instrument console, leatherette upholstery for seats, height adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control and powered ORVMs.
The spy images confirm that the new-gen Bolero Neo will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof. For safety and security, the SUV could get six airbags as standard along with ESC, hill hold and hill descent control, and others.
The existing Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine that produces 99bhp and 260Nm of torque, and is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. We believe that the 2025 Bolero Neo could get a more powerful 1.5L, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel engine that powers the Thar and XUV 3XO. Both manual and automatic gearbox choices are likely on offer.
