Tata Motors revealed the ICE-powered Curvv SUV coupe on August 7. Its electric iteration was also launched on the same day at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, for the petrol and diesel variants, the brand kept the price in mystery which has been revealed today. The Curvv petrol model starts from Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) while its diesel variant costs Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the launch of the Curvv SUV coupe, Tata has also introduced an all-new ATLAS (Adaptive Tech-Forward Lifestyle Architecture). Further, it is capable of accommodating multiple powertrains including petrol, diesel, and CNG.
The design of the Curvv has already been revealed by the brand before. Its exterior profile is quite similar to the Curvv EV. It has the same sloping roofline, flush door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels. One of the interesting features is the powered tailgate with gesture control which we have seen for the first time in the segment.
Other exterior design elements include sleek LED DRL with the Welcome animation (above the front grille), roof spoiler, connected LED tail lights with Goodbye animation, and more.
Tata Curvv ICE is available with six exterior paint schemes including Gold Essence, Pure Grey, Flame Red, Daytona Grey, Opera Blue, and Pristine White. Dual-tone colour options are available in Creative Plus S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished Plus A.
The ICE-powered Curvv comes with a dual-tone Burgundy and Black interior theme. It gets ventilated front seats with an electrically powered 6-way driver's seat while the rear passengers get a two-step recline function.
In terms of features, it is offered with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a four-spoke steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system.
In terms of safety, Tata Curvv gets a 360-degree camera and all four disc brakes. Other safety features include Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, and Level 2 ADAS.
Beneath the hood, the Curvv ICE gets three engine choices. First, it has an all-new 1.2-litre TGDi turbo petrol, producing 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque. Other two engines include a 1.2-litre turbo petrol (118bhp/170 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (113bhp/260 Nm), both borrowed from Tata Nexon. All these engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Curvv is available in eight variants - Smart, Pure+, Pure+ S, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ A. Tata has revealed the prices of almost all of the variants except for a few ones.
