Force Motors has secured a massive order of 2,978 units for Force Gurkha SUVs from the Indian Defence Forces. This order further solidifies the brand’s commitment to supporting national security by providing mission-ready vehicles designed to withstand extreme conditions. With its proven reliability and robust build, the Force Gurkha continues to be a trusted choice for the Indian Army and Air Force.
Force Motors has designed these vehicles to meet the diverse operational needs of both the Indian Army and Air Force, showcasing the company's ability to deliver mission-ready vehicles for tough defence conditions.
Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors, stated, "Our vehicles are engineered with an emphasis on quality, reliability, durability, and performance, which aligns seamlessly with the operational requirements of our defense personnel. This order reflects the trust and confidence that the Indian Defence Forces have in Force Motors."
The company has a strong history of supplying the defence sector, particularly with its Gurkha LSV (Light Strike Vehicle). Built for off-road performance, the Force Gurkha offers high ground clearance, excellent water-wading capability, and a sturdy 4x4 drivetrain, making it suitable for extreme terrains like deserts and mountains. These features ensure reliable performance in challenging environments, making the SUV ideal for military operations in the field.
Force Gurkha comes in two versions: a 3-door and a 5-door model. Both are powered by a 2.6-litre turbocharged intercooled diesel engine. This unit can produce the maximum power of 138 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission, while front and rear locking differentials enhance off-road capability.
