Tata Motors is planning to launch the Nexon Facelift in India by August 2023. The upcoming subcompact SUV has already been spotted being tested multiple times. Now, latest spy shots reveal Nexon Facelift’s interior layout. Similar to the exterior, the cabin of the New Nexon is believed to be inspired by the Curvv Concept. We take a closer look.
Recent spy shots reveal that the Nexon Facelift will get a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that Tata introduced in the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions a while ago. The center console has been redesigned with a new touch panel and toggle switches for the climate controls similar to the ones seen on the Curvv Concept. Another thing inspired by the concept is the new two-spoke, flat-bottomed steering wheel. It features toggle switches at both ends as well as new haptic touch buttons.
The lower center console area of the SUV looks largely unchanged. The drive mode selector, wireless charger, and the manual handbrake have been retained while the gear lever has been slightly redesigned. The leaked images also reveal a new purple upholstery for the seats.
Upcoming Tata Nexon Facelift is expected to get a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that would make a power output of 125 bhp with 225 Nm of peak torque. This is an increase of 5 bhp and 55 Nm over the current petrol motor. The homegrown automaker will also continue to offer the 1.5-litre turbo diesel unit that delivers 115 bhp and 260 Nm torque. It will retain the outgoing model’s 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox options. A new automatic gearbox may be offered with the petrol variants.
