Mahindra has received a massive response from buyers for the new 5-door Thar Roxx. While the bookings of the Thar Roxx will open on October 3, the deliveries are set to begin on October 12. Meanwhile, the homegrown automaker is working on its new XUV and Born Electric (BE) range which will include a slew of new cars - XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, etc. It is believed that Mahindra's next 7-seater SUV (XUV.e8) is slated to launch in early 2025.
Let's read further to know about its expected design and features.
The overall visual appeal of the XUV.e8 reminds us of the existing XUV700 SUV. The upcoming model has also spied earlier, revealing its design and features.
Some of its exterior design elements include a redesigned front grille, vertical LED headlights, full-width LED light bar, new alloy wheels, a revamped bumper, and copper-coloured inserts all around.
Internally, it might get a two-spoke design for the steering wheel, making it look different from the XUV700. Besides, the vehicle might get a 12.3-inch three-screen setup for infotainment, driver display, and co-occupant. Previous sightings have also hinted at its ADAS sensors. We can expect the XUV.e8 might get a Level 2 ADAS suite.
The upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 will be the first model to be based on the INGLO platform. This architecture is expected to accommodate a large 80kWh battery pack. This might offer a maximum range of over 550 km.
Mahindra XUV.e8 is expected to be priced between Rs 30 lakh to Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will give great competition to BYD Atto 3. It will be a premium alternative to MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV. Production of the new Mahindra XUV.e8 is likely to commence by December 2024, while launch is expected in Q1, 2025. The production-spec model is most likely to debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show.
