Skoda is gearing up to launch the new-generation Kodiaq in April, which was previously showcased at the Auto Expo in January 2025.
After discontinuing the outgoing model from the official website in February this year, Skoda has now teased the new-gen Kodiaq, highlighting its redesigned exterior, refreshed cabin, and tech-loaded interior. This indicates the imminent launch of the second-gen Skoda Kodiaq in our market.
Check out its latest details!
The new-generation Skoda Kodiaq will come with a more stylish and modern look. It will have a taller stance, sharper lines, and a new front design with a larger "Butterfly" grille and sleek LED headlights. The front bumper will also be updated, reflecting the brand’s new design language. At the back, the SUV will feature C-shaped wraparound tail lights and bold "SKODA" lettering in the center of the tailgate, giving it a more premium and updated appearance.
The new-generation Skoda Kodiaq is 61mm longer than the previous model, measuring 4,758mm in length, while the width and height have decreased by 18mm and 17mm, respectively, to 1,864mm and 1,659mm, respectively. The wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,971mm.
The new Kodiaq will also have a revamped interior, featuring a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10-inch 'Virtual Cockpit' that will display important driving information.
To add more premium feel, the brand will offer brown leather seats. In the automatic transmission variant, the gear selector will be placed behind the steering wheel instead of on the center console. This will make the cabin look more modern and clutter-free.
In terms of safety, the India-spec Kodiaq is expected to offer 8 airbags as standard across all variants. Features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) will also be included as standard. However, Skoda has not yet confirmed whether the India-spec model will offer ADAS features.
Under the bonnet, the new Skoda Kodiaq will continue to use the familiar 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This engine will produce 187 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque, and it will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The SUV will also come equipped with a capable 4x4 (all-wheel drive) system.
The next-generation Skoda Kodiaq is expected to launch in India this month, with an expected price starting from around Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom).
