After launching the new Kylaq sub-4 meter SUV, Skoda is now ready to give a mid-life facelift to its existing models including Kushaq and Slavia. The Skoda Kushaq facelift is scheduled to be launched this year. It is expected to receive subtle design changes and an upgraded cabin along with new features like ADAQS and a 360-degree camera. The big update is that Skoda has also started working on the next-gen Kushaq SUV, which is likely to be released in 2027-28.

Not just next Kushaq, the new MQB A0 37 architecture will be used to develop multiple products including the next-gen VW Taigun, Virtus and Skoda Slavia. This platform will also give Volkswagen Group enough space to create new 7-seater SUVs for the Indian market. In fact, Skoda is evaluating a new 7-seater SUV based on the next-gen Kushaq SUV.
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India is already in talks with the Indian suppliers for local development of the MQB A0 37 platform. This architecture will allow the Group to produce bigger C-segment models for India and other developing nations. In fact, the company could develop products in India for export markets.
The Czech automaker is preparing to bring back diesel cars in our market. In fact, Skoda had showcased the new Superb, Kodiaq and Octavia at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The new-gen Skoda Superb will mark the return of brand's diesel cars in India. In fact, the new Kodiaq could also receive a diesel derivative in our market.
Volkswagen is developing a new sub-4 meter SUV for the Indian market. To be based on the existing MQB AO IN architecture, the new sub-compact SUV will share body panels, engine and features with the Skoda Slavia. However, its styling is expected to be inspired by the new Volkswagen Tera. Moreover, the German brand will introduce the Golf GTI and Tiguan R-Line in April 2025.
