February 2025 was a pretty quiet month for new car launches. There were not many new models entering the market, but some of the high-end car manufacturers launched new products, and some provided updates on their current cars. The majority of the launches during this month were SUVs, with some model-year changes. These updates included new features and minor modifications to some of the already existing popular cars.
Below is a list of the cars that were launched in February 2025.
Kia has launched its second subcompact SUV, the Syros, on 1st of February 2025. The Syros falls in between the Sonet and Seltos price band, with a starting price of Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom). The Syros shares the same engine options as the cousin: a 1-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. The Syros gets design influence from the company flagship EV9, which boasts vertically stacked LED headlamps and a boxy silhouette. Inside, it comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, power front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and an 8-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
BYD launched Sealion 7, an electric SUV priced at Rs. 48.90 lakh (ex-showroom) in India on 17th February, 2025. Sealion 7 comes in a Premium variant driven by a single electric motor producing 308.71 bhp and a Performance variant driven by a twin-motor producing 522.75 bhp. Both variants carry an 82.5 kWh battery with up to 567 km claimed range. Sealion 7 is a luxury electric SUV blended with high performance and advanced comforts.
Audi launched the RS Q8 Performance on 17th February, 2025 at Rs. 2.49 crore (ex-showroom). This is the more performance-oriented SUV that continues with the 4-litre twin-turbo petrol engine but tweaks it to produce 631.24 bhp and 850 Nm of torque. The car goes from 0-100 kmph in a mere 3.6 seconds. The RS Q8 Performance comes with an even more menacing appearance with black-out grille, blacked-out rims, and twin-tip exhaust. The inside is covered with a black theme end to end with Alcantara-wrapped steering wheels and carbon-fibre inserts.
Rolls-Royce launched the Ghost Series II, an updated variant of the company's flagship Ghost on 6th February, 2025. The facelifts are a bit subtle, however, with new LED headlamps that give it a newer and sharper look. The Ghost Series II is equipped with a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that churns out 591.79 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. Rolls-Royce offers three variants of the Ghost Series II: the base, Black Badge, and Extended. This luxury sedan begins at Rs. 8.95 crore (ex-showroom).
Kia introduced the 2025 Seltos model on 24th February, 2025. The new model has new variants such as HTE (O), HTK (O), and HTK+ (O). The models are equipped with premium features at reasonable prices. The 2025 Seltos is equipped with two engine options, which include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. The 2025 Seltos is priced between Rs. 11.3 lakh and Rs. 20.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Renault launched the new 2025 Kiger with additional features. The price of the new car is between Rs. 6.10 lakh and Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom). While powertrain and design are unchanged, the lower trims get additional features. The top trim gets new features like a smart access card and remote engine start. The 2025 Kiger also supports E20 fuel, and hence it is more eco-friendly.
Renault gave the Triber a facelift on 17th February, 2025 too by adding more features to the base trim models. The 2025 Triber gets an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and audio control on the steering wheel. The prices of the new Triber start at Rs. 6.10 lakh and go all the way to Rs. 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The Triber receives a 1-litre petrol engine, which churns out 71.01 bhp of power and 96 Nm of torque, and comes with the choice of a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission.
MG revamped the Astor for 2025 on 7th February, 2025 with features such as a panoramic sunroof, six-speaker sound system, six airbags, and leatherette trim on the base trims. The revised Astor is available with only a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine churning out 108.49 bhp. Transmission is via a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The 2025 MG Astor is available at Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 17.56 lakh (ex-showroom).
