The Nexon has been the driving force behind Tata consistent success, without a doubt. Not only does the sub-compact SUV populate the roads but also headlines and thus, it is a prominent contender in the segment. The enormous success of over 7 lakh units in seven years is a clear indication of the car’s popularity and customer trust. However, what is causing the massive success? Let us now examine why Nexon has become so much in demand and why the demand is so high.
The first reason why the Tata Nexon has a great advantage over others is its impressive tech lineup. From up to 17-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging (cooled) and ventilated seats, the SUV has it all. The usual Nexon is already fully equipped, but the soon-to-be-developed Nexon CNG guarantees additional impressive features. It will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster, and ventilated front seats.
Safety is also an area that the Nexon has been successful in. The latest facelift has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Global NCAP, which is a great achievement. With six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX mounts and a 360-degree camera, Tata has been leading the safety front with flying colours.
Currently, the Nexon lineup comes with two engines: A 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The smaller petrol mill churns out 118 bhp and 170 Nm, whereas, the diesel Nexon generates 113 bhp and 260 Nm of pull force.
The Tata Nexon CNG, which is set to be out by September, is a case in point. This is no ordinary CNG Car; it will be the first turbo petrol CNG car in India. Under the hood will be the tried-and-tested 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with a twin-cylinder CNG setup. The turbo petrol engine debuting in the upcoming CNG version is expected to deliver an unmatched blend of performance and efficiency. This block is predicted to provide higher power compared to its rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG. Though the specifications for the CNG model have not been disclosed yet, the use of turbocharged engines will be a breakthrough in CNG fuel technology.
Tata has made it possible to carry more luggage by fitting the CNG tanks underneath the boot space cleverly. This, then, means you can have the fun of driving on CNG while still packing all of your stuff inside the car.
Nexon’s range of models is big and caters to various preferences and needs. Whether it is the Smart (O) base model or the fully loaded Fearless Plus trim, there is a Nexon for all kinds of buyers.
The Dark Edition, in particular, has been very well-received for its distinctive design and high-quality materials. The different variants of this edition are designed to satisfy the wishes of those who want to galvanise their Nexon to an even greater extent. The Dark Edition is a model that starts with its darkened alloy wheels and continues with all sorts of astonishing interior accents.
With the release of various models having different powertrains such as petrol, diesel and electric the demand for customers to have a wide variety of choices is met.
