Good news for sedan lovers! Honda and Toyota will launch their new-generation sedan cars in the Indian market. The third-generation Amaze will make its official entry on December 5 while the ninth-generation Toyota Camry is scheduled to launch on December 11. Here is what we know so far about these new sedan cars.
The next-gen Amaze has been already appreciated by viewers for its new design and interior upgrades. Previous sightings have confirmed that its front grille is inspired by the Honda Civic while its rear profile will be similar to the Honda City. The new Amaze will feature a honeycomb-patterned grille, newly designed headlamps with LED DRLs and multi-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, it will offer a semi-digital driver's display, single pane sunroof, a bigger touchscreen, and more.
Powertrain choice will include the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol as the current model, which churns out 87 bhp with 110 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed Manual and Continuously Variable transmission. It could be priced from Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Toyota India will introduce the new-gen Camry with an improved design and feature-packed interior. It will feature two fresh exterior paint choices - Heavy Metal and Ocean Gem. The sedan will highlight Toyota's new design language, featuring a wider front grille, sleeker LED headlights with fresh C-shaped LED DRLs, lowered roofline, low-slung stance, and 18-19 inch wheel sizes (depending on the trim).
Inside, it will offer a range of interior colour themes and distinct upholstery. Feature-wise, it will provide a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch driver display, a panoramic sunroof, dual zone AC, a 10-inch heads-up display, 5 USB ports, and the latest suite of ADAS. It will take power from the 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit, paired with two electric motors. It will offer a combined power output of 222 bhp. It will have an eCVT, powering the front wheels. Expect it to be priced at Rs 46.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
