In September 2024, three new Electric Cars are hitting the Indian market. The lineup includes the luxurious Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS, MG Windsor EV, and BYD M6. These EVs promise a feature-packed interior, modern design, and impressive range.
Let’s have an overview of the upcoming Electric Cars in September 2024:
The first electric car to launch next month would be the Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS 680. It will be launched on September 5 in the Indian market. It is expected to get a battery pack of around 130-135kWh, which can offer a range of over 600 km on a single charge. It might come with a dual motor setup, sending power to all four wheels. Further, it can accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 4.4 seconds. The Mercedes-Benz EQS Maybach will compete with Lotus Eletre and the BMW i7.
Next on the line is the MG Windsor EV which is a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV available on sale globally. Ahead of its arrival on September 11, select dealerships have started accepting bookings.
Some of its expected exterior and interior features include LED light bars, vertically stacked headlamp cluster, integrated spoiler, stylish alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, 8.8-inch digital driver's display, wireless phone charging, and a 135-degree recline function for rear seats. In India, the Windsor EV will sit between Comet EV and ZS EV. The price could hover around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Another electric car to launch in September 2024 is the BYD M6/e6 MPV. The vehicle is also known as M6 in the Indonesian market and the India-spec version might carry the same name. Design-wise, it will feature full LED headlamps with new DRLs, newly designed wraparound LED tail lights, a new set of alloy wheels, and a tweaked rear bumper.
In terms of features, the electric MPV will come with a larger 12.8-inch floating touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround view camera, and more. The BYD M6 will be powered by two battery packs. The smaller 55.4kWh battery pack can offer a range of 420 km while its larger 71.8kWh unit can deliver an impressive range of 530 km on a single charge. As for the price, it could go up to Rs 29.15 lakh.
