MG Motor India has officially launched the new MG Windsor Pro at an introductory price of Rs 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned at the top of the Windsor EV lineup, the new Pro variant is available exclusively in the Essence trim and offers a notable upgrade over the standard Windsor EV, especially in terms of range, features, and design.
With the Windsor Pro, MG aims to provide more value to customers looking for a premium electric vehicle with extended range and advanced features.
Here’s how the MG Windsor Pro compares with the standard MG Windsor EV across design, interior, specs, and pricing.
The Windsor Pro features noticeable design changes that set it apart from the regular model. The Pro variant comes equipped with new diamond-cut alloy wheels, replacing the aero wheels offered on lower trims.
Additionally, MG has introduced three new exclusive colours for the Windsor Pro:
Design highlights include sleek LED DRLs connected by an LED light bar, an illuminated MG logo, LED headlamps and tail lamps, and flush-fitting door handles. The regular Windsor EV also features 18-inch alloy wheels but lacks some of the premium visual tweaks.
Inside the cabin, the MG Windsor Pro gets a dual-tone black and ivory interior theme, while the standard model offers a black interior theme.

The standard Windsor EV retains premium elements like a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof, and adjustable front seats, but skips advanced safety and charging features found in the Pro.
The biggest upgrade in the MG Windsor Pro lies under the hood. It comes with a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, offering an impressive 449 km range on a single charge. Powering the vehicle is a 134 bhp electric motor with 200 Nm of peak torque, mounted on the front axle.
In contrast, the standard MG Windsor EV features a 38 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 331 km. However, both variants share the same electric motor specifications.
MG Windsor Pro is priced at Rs 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand is also offering the Pro with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, bringing the initial cost down to Rs 12.50 lakh, while the battery rental is Rs 4.5 per km.
Please note that these prices are introductory and limited to the first 8,000 customers. Bookings begin on May 8, 2025.
As for the standard MG Windsor EV, pricing starts at Rs 13.99 lakh for the base Excite variant. The Exclusive and Essence trims are priced at Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 15.99 lakh, respectively. Under the BaaS plan, prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh with a battery rental of Rs 3.5 per km, while the Exclusive and Essence BaaS trims are priced at Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 11.99 lakh, respectively.
With notable upgrades in battery capacity, range, features, and design, the MG Windsor EV Pro offers excellent value for money compared to the standard top-spec Windsor EV. It’s a smart choice for EV buyers looking for extended range and modern tech without a huge price jump.
