Jeep will launch the next-generation Compass SUV in 2025. The carmaker has already released the teaser image, and some important details about the SUV are now being revealed.
The new Compass will be based on Stellantis's STLA Medium platform, which is also used with the Peugeot 3008 and Opel Grandland models. This vehicle's options will be the same generation, that is, 2WD and 4x4. The SUV will be close to 4,500 mm long and compact but spacious at the same time.
It will be bold, with reports indicating that it will have a more defined shoulder line and flared wheel arches. It will have less rear overhang, which makes it look sporty. Since the full details of the new design for the car haven't been released yet. This refresh is most likely to endow with an unbeatable appeal in its class.
The next Compass will be offered with multiple powertrains, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric.
All-wheel drive is only confirmed on the 320 bhp electric model. According to various reports, Jeep might be adding a thermal (fuel-based) 4x4 option later down the line when requirements come for sure in the U.S.
The new Compass will be unveiled worldwide in the first half of 2025, with production to start in the second half of the year at Stellantis's Melfi plant in Italy. The reported base price should be approximately Rs. 35 lakhs for the version with 2WD.
