Mercedes-Benz has globally debuted the facelift version of its GLS flagship model. The upcoming SUV has received minor design tweaks and some software updates. The standard equipment list has also been upgraded; it now offers Adaptive High-beam Lights, Electric Panoramic Sunroof, and more features. Let us now check out the SUV in more detail.
Yet-to-be-launched Mercedes-Benz GLS gets subtle styling tweaks. Its four horizontal louvres in the grille now offer a Silver Shadow finish. In addition, the bumper up front features air inlet grilles with high gloss black surrounds. Towards the rear, the tail lamps provide three horizontal block patterns.
Apart from the exterior updates, the interior has also received a few changes. For instance, it now gets a glossy brown lime wood trim and a Parking package that provides a 360-degree camera as standard. The GLS offers a new steering wheel with touch controls on its spokes.
Furthermore, the MBUX infotainment system provides new display choices with three graphic styles (Sporty, Discreet, and Classic) alongside three modes (Navigation, Assistance, and Service). There are new upholstery options; Bahia Brown and Catalana Beige leather available on the SUV.

Another variant of the GLS is the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 which too has been updated. It now offers more equipment than before like adaptive high-beam headlights, an electric panoramic sunroof, heated cupholders, and a Burmester sound system. The German automaker also has included adaptive dampers and an AMG performance exhaust system for this trim. Besides, a new software update enables a user to adjust the settings for the roll stabilisation system.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS, which is a standalone model within the product portfolio now features ambient lighting with the projection of the brand’s logo. In addition, two new paint options are also added; Manufaktur Alpine Grey Non-Metallic and Sodalite Blue Metallic to the SUV.
The New GLS comes powered by a 3.0-litre petrol straight six (377 bhp), a 4.0-litre petrol V8 (514 bhp), and a 3.0-litre turbo diesel unit (310 bhp). The Maybach SUV is equipped with a 550 bhp '600' petrol V8 while its AMG variant gets a mild hybrid version with 625 bhp.
