First launched in 2020, the Nissan Magnite has been one of the best-selling model for the Japanese brand in the Indian market. This affordable sub-4 meter SUV offers spacious cabin, two petrol engines and decent features.
In order to boost sales, Nissan India will launch the Magnite facelift in the country on October 4, 2024. The company has started teasing the SUV on its social media platforms, revealing some key information.
The company has officially started taking bookings for the Magnite facelift. Interested customers can visit the nearest Nissan dealership or the official website to book the new model. However, Nissan has not revealed the booking amount.
While launch is scheduled on October 4, 2024, Nissan Magnite deliveries will begin from October 5, 2025. Production of the car has already been started at Nissan-Renault's production facility in Oragadam, near Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The new Nissan Magnite facelift will come with cosmetic design changes and an upgraded interior. It could get restyled front fascia, featuring revised front grille and headlamp cluster, and new bumper. The SUV could receive tweaked rear bumper and new set of alloy wheels.
The cabin of the new Magnite facelift could receive new interior scheme and better quality material. It is likely to receive some features like an auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated seats and soft-touch materials on dashboard and internal door panels. The SUV could get a single-pane sunroof. Other features will include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control, keyless entry with push start/stop button, and Nissan Connect telematics.
The Nissan Magnite facelift will be offered with the 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated and 1.0L turbo petrol engines. While the former is good for 71bhp and 96Nm, the turbo unit produces 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT, and a CVT automatic.
