The German automaker, Porsche has now introduced a new entry-level variant for the new Taycan priced from Rs 1.67 Crore (ex-showroom). This new base variant is rear-wheel-drive and will be sold along with the current all-wheel-drive models. Bookings for this new RWD model of the car are open. Let's have a closer look at what this new base variant offers in terms of features and powertrain.
This new entry-level variant features the same design as the new facelift Taycan. It offers exclusive paint options and is upgraded with 22-inch alloy wheels. The car fascia comes with a sleeker and more streamlined look with an updated LED headlight.
As for the back, the RWD variant features a similar look with a refreshed design featuring a slightly revised bumper and an updated signature LED light strip.
The interior of this new variant features an updated dashboard with a triple-screen setup. However, the front passenger display is available as an optional add-on. Also, the buyers can choose a more personalized cabin theme, and the standard interior comes in an all-black scheme.
The Taycan RWD is offered with an 89 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor setup. It delivers about 405 bhp with 410 Nm of peak torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and has a claimed range of 590 km.
The new Taycan RWD variant is positioned as the entry-level variant priced at Rs 1.67 Crore (ex-showroom) which is about Rs 24 lakh less than the previous base variant. The car is a direct rival to Audi e-tron GT and Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan.
