Buoyed by a positive response for Kylaq, Skoda is now planning to add new models, including facelifts of existing cars. This year, the company will launch the updated versions of the Kushaq and Slavia sedan. Moreover, the Skoda Octavia RS has also been confirmed for India.
The company is also considering CNG as a powertrain option for the Indian market. The Skoda Kylaq is expected to be the first model from the Czech automaker to feature a CNG powertrain. The CNG option will be offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.
The updated model is likely to be launched before the end of this year. Skoda has also started testing the updated model, which will come with revised exterior and interior. It is likely to come with subtle design changes in the form of re-worked headlamps and repositioned fog lamps along with an updated grille. The SUV could also get a new connected LED DRL signature and squared-off front bumper. Other changes could include new alloys, slimmer tail-lamps and a connected LED light bar, and new bumper.
The cabin is also likely to receive subtle changes in the form of new colour scheme and new upholstery. The Skoda Kushaq facelift is also likely to get LEVEL 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with features like collision avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, blind spot monitoring and others.
The Kushaq facelift will continue to be offered with the 115hp, 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 150hp, 1.5L turbo petrol engines. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor for the 1.0L, and a 7-speed DSG for the 1.5-litre.
Skoda will launch the Slavia facelift, which is expected to be launched towards the end of this year. The updated model will share design and interior changes with the Kushaq facelift. It will come with a new grille, headlamps, tail-lamps and a new tailgate. The sedan will also receive advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). It will continue to be offered with the existing engine options - a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol.
Skoda Auto India will launch the new Octavia RS, a performance-oriented sedan in the country this year. The sedan was showcased to public at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It comes with sporty design elements, including glossy black inserts, matrix LED headlamps, large aero wheels, body-coloured door handles, dual exhaust and red brake calibers on the front axle.
Inside the cabin, the sedan gets sport seats for the first row, all-black interior theme with red stitching, new 13-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, 3-zone climate control, fully digital instrument console and wireless charging.
Powering the new Skoda Octavia RS is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, TSI petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG. This engine produces 261bhp and 370Nm of torque.
