The long-awaited Tata Harrier EV will finally go on sale in the country on June 3, 2025. Tata Motors had showcased the production version of the electric Harrier at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January. It will be the largest EV from the homegrown passenger car manufacturer.
Tata Harrier EV will be the most expensive electric vehicle from the homegrown UV maker. It will be positioned against the likes of the Mahindra XEV 9e and the BYD Atto 3. We expect the new Harrier EV to cost somewhere around Rs 22 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Tata Harrier EV will be the first model to offer all-wheel-drive system in India. Tata Motors has not revealed the exact details about the battery specs and electric motor; it is confirmed that the Harrier Electric will have a dual-motor AWD setup. It is expected to offer a range of over 500km in a single charge.
Adding to it, the Harrier EV will come with multi-link rear suspension system that can be tuned more effectively to offer better ride quality over uneven surfaces. The Harrier diesel comes with a torsion beam setup.
The Tata Harrier EV will also come with more features than the ICE model. It will have ‘Summon’ mode, which allows the driver to move the EV forwards and backwards using the key fob. It will also get vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) function.
Other features likely to include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, dual-zone climate control and panoramic sunroof. For safety and security, the SUV will get 7 airbags, LEVEL 2 ADAS, a 360-degree surround view camera, hill hold assist, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
