Tata Motors is set to reveal the prices of the Tata Harrier EV QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) variants on June 27, 2025. This new all-wheel-drive version brings back 4WD capabilities to the Tata lineup for the first time since the Safari Storme, which was discontinued in 2020.
Tata has already shared the prices of the Harrier EV RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) versions. The base variant is priced at Rs 21.49 lakh, while the top-spec model goes up to Rs 27.49 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom India. Bookings for the electric SUV will open from July 2, 2025.
The QWD versions are expected to be priced higher than the RWD variants due to the more advanced drivetrain and added performance benefits.
The Harrier EV is Tata’s first electric SUV to feature a dual-motor setup, where one motor powers the front wheels and the other drives the rear wheels. This configuration offers full-time all-wheel-drive functionality, giving the SUV better performance, control, and traction, especially in off-road or slippery conditions.
Tata Motors expects that nearly 20 percent of Harrier EV customers will opt for the QWD variants. While 4x4 options are often niche in petrol and diesel models, Tata believes the instant torque and smoother performance of electric motors will appeal to a wider audience.
Under the hood, the QWD Harrier EV uses a 75 kWh battery pack paired with dual motors to deliver a powerful 390 bhp and 640 Nm of torque. Thanks to this setup, the SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Tata claims an ARAI-certified range of up to 622 km, with a more practical real-world range of 480–505 km.
Inside, the Harrier EV comes with a host of modern features, including a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and connected car tech. The exterior keeps the familiar Harrier look but adds EV-specific touches like a closed grille and sleek aerodynamic alloy wheels.
