Volvo Cars has just unveiled its first born electric SUV, the EX30 in the global market. The new compact SUV promises to offer big things in a small package. Bookings for the new model is currently open in select markets.
Measuring 4.2 metres in length, the exterior design of the new Volvo EX30 follows a Scandinavian design language with clean bold lines. At the front there are new sleek Thor Hammer shaped LED headlights and large blanked off grille. The bonnet droops down and features muscular lines.
Towards the sides we get to see a sharp shoulder line and bulging rear arches along with aero-optimised alloy wheels. While at the rear there is a C-shaped LED taillamp along with a vertical brake light bar at the top.
Volvo is offering the SUV in 5 exciting colours which are Vapour Grey, Onyx Black, Moss Yellow, Crystal White and Cloud Blue.
The interiors of the car follow the same Scandinavian nature as per Volvo and uses a lot of recycled and sustainable materials. The centre of the dash features a 12.3-inch tablet like touchscreen and a soundbar with 9 speakers from Harman Kardon.
Other highlights of the inside include ambient sound and lighting package, 4 USB C ports, wireless charger, Park Pilot Assist, 360 degree camera and a host of driver safety assistance aid.
Volvo is offering the new EX30 with a 69 kWh Lithium-Ion battery that is rated for 430 kilometres of range. The car charges from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes. Offered in both single and dual motor setups, the car is rated for a peak power output of 422 bhp.
There is no official word as to when this car will launch in India. Bookings for the EX30 has opened in Europe, Japan, Australia and Thailand.
