Not just BE 6e, Mahindra has also introduced the XEV 9e at an aggressive introductory price of Rs 21.90 lakh. The homegrown brand has only revealed the price of the base variant of the BE 6e, called the Pack One. It is offered with the smaller 59kWh battery pack, but customers will have to pay extra for the charger.
Mahindra will release the prices of higher variants and charger by January 2025. In fact, bookings for the new electric SUV Coupe will commence in the later half of January, while deliveries are being promised from February-March next year.
The electric coupe SUV measures 4371mm in length, 1907mm in width and 1627mm in height. It rides on a long wheelbase of 2775mm, which is big enough to accommodate the bigger XEV 9e EV. The electric SUV Coupe has flared wheel arches with thick gloss black cladding. The flush-type door handles are positioned slightly differently compared to the concept. However, the rear passenger door handles are integrated nicely on the C-pillar.
The rear has coupe roofline and a wraparound glasshouse; however, the rear view from inside could be impacted due to smaller glass. It comes with two-part split spoiler and full-width wraparound LED tail-lights. The electric SUV has dual-tone effect at the rear as well. It gets uniquely styled rear bumper that has diffuser-like treatment.
Just the like the exterior, the cabin of the new BE 6e looks largely similar to the concept. The dashboard is designed in a manner to offer a cockpit-like feel. It features a clean and clutter-free dashboard layout, featuring full-width AC vents and dominated by two large screens for infotainment and digital driver's display.
It comes equipped with a 12.3-inch floating type touchscreen infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch digital driver's display; both runs on Mahindra's new MAIA software with more that 30 pre-installed applications. The system runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, and has 24 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Customers can change the infotainment theme, as it is available in 3 pre-set themes - Calm, Cozy and Club. The signature tunes for the infotainment is curated by none other than AR Rahman.
The electric SUV Coupe comes with augmented reality head-up display, ambient lighting and a huge panoramic sunroof. There is a new two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel that houses an illuminated Mahindra logo. The centre console offers a sporty character, featuring an aircraft lever-style drive mode selector, and a rotary dial for the drive modes. It comes with aircraft-style panel on the roof that houses control for lighting and sunroof.
