Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited e Vitara electric SUV, which debuted in India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It is expected that the prices of the electric Vitara will be revealed towards the end of March 2025. This electric SUV will be offered in 10 exterior colour choices.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be sold exclusively through NEXA premium dealership network. It will come in three variants - Delta, Zeta and Alpha. All the variants will be offered with 2WD as standard. It will come with two battery packs - 48.8kWh and 61.1kWh. The electric SUV will support DC fast charging up to 70kW.
The Maruti Vitara EV will come in 10 colour options including 4 dual-tone choices. The dual-tone paint schemes include Land Breeze Green with Bluish Black Roof, Splendid Silver with Bluish Black Roof, Opulent Red with Bluish Black Roof and Arctic White with Bluish Black Roof. The single-tone colour options include signature NEXA Blue, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Bluish Black and Opulent Red.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara comes equipped with a high capacity battery made of 120 lithium-ion based cells. It will be the first Maruti to offer advanced driver assistance system. The electric SUV gets LEVEL 2 ADAS with features like automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross traffic alert.
For safety and security, the new Suzuki e Vitara gets up to 7 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360-degree surround view camera, all wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto hold and others.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is offered with two battery packs - 49kWh and 61kWh. While the former offers 144PS and 192.5Nm, the bigger battery version delvers 174P and 192.5Nm. The bigger battery pack version is claimed to offer a range of over 500km.
The e Vitara has three driving modes - Eco, Normal and Sports. The Eco mode extends range, while the Normal mode offers balanced performance. In Sport Mode, the electric SUV offers spirited performance. The e Vitara also has a Snow Mode, which helps improve traction on snow and slippery surfaces.
