Maruti Suzuki India Limited today pulled the wraps off its new flagship model in India. Essentially a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, the new Maruti Suzuki Invicto premium MPV has been launched at a starting price of Rs 24.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the 3rd new product from the brand in 2023.
Like the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, the Invicto is being offered in 2 variants with prices ranging from Rs 24.79 lakh to Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom). There is both 7- and 8-seater option. Bookings for the new model is currently underway at a token amount of Rs 25,000.

There will be 4 colours on offer: Nexa Blue, Mystic Bronze, Crystal White and Silver.
From the outside, the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Invicto features the same SUV design as the Innova Hycross by features subtle differences. Upfront the car retains the large bonnet with powerlines and muscular bumper but replaces the signature Toyota grille for a new NEXA Wave grille which is more in line with other Maruti models. In addition, the car also get the NexTre LED DRLs.
Moving to the sides, we get to see the same overall silhouette with strong shoulder line, squared off wheel arches and thick body cladding. The car also rides on the same 17-inch alloy wheels as the Toyota MPV. While at the rear, the new Invicto maintains the same design as the Hycross but with new Suzuki badges and a signature NEXA LED taillamp.
Like the exterior, the new Maruti Invicto will share its interior layout and features with the Toyota Innova Hycross. The premium cabin will includes an all-black colour theme with Champagne Gold accents and a long list of features seen for the first time on any Maruti Suzuki car.
The equipment on offer include a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment with 6-speakers, ventilate front seats, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, TPMS, power adjust for the driver seat, dual-zone AC and more.
Maruti is also offering a host of safety features including 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake and hill hold assist among others. full suite of Toyota Safety Sense on the Invicto which includes features like lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and more.
As Maruti Suzuki expects the new Invicto to be a low volume model for the company, it has decided to skip the 2.0-litre petrol engine and offer only a strong hybrid powertrain. The new premium MPV will come powered by a 2.0-litre TNGA petrol engine mated to a battery pack producing 184 bhp and 188 Nm of torque. This unit comes mated to an e-CVT automatic transmission and offers 3 drive modes (Eco/Normal/Power).
The claimed mileage for the four-wheeler is 23.24 kmpl.
