While MG Motor India readies a new car launch every six months, including hybrids and electric ones, it seems the latest model, the MG Windsor EV, has garnered maximum interest. The new electric vehicle is underpinned by the Wuling Cloud EV sold in a few international markets and pitched against established players, namely Tata Curvv EV, Tata Nexon EV, and Mahindra XUV400 EV. Since only the base price has been revealed for the MG Windsor EV, we compare here the base variants of these rivals in detail to get an idea about the placing of the upcoming model in the market.

MG Windsor EV: The price is tagged at an ex-showroom of Rs 9.99 lakh, making the Windsor EV one of the most reasonably priced electric cars in the automobile market. It falls within the reasonably low price slot, making this car a very good option for customers who want to step into the electric vehicle category without burning a hole in their pocket.
Tata Nexon EV Creative Plus: Actually, it's the mid-segment variant of this car. All that puts this in the price bracket of Rs 14.49 lakhs. This variant provides a nice balance between features and performance and, hence, may be more attractive to larger audiences since its price is well within the reach of most people, though somewhat higher than that of the Windsor.
Tata Curvv EV Creative 45: The Curvv EV is the most expensive in this lot, considering its higher price of Rs 17.49 lakh. However, the higher price does hint that this model is duly loaded with premium features and a larger battery to meet the expectations of those buyers who want more upmarket options.
Mahindra XUV400 EV EC Pro: Priced at Rs 15.49 lakh, the positioning of the XUV400 places it neatly between the Nexon EV and Curvv EV in terms of pricing. Not a bad deal considering the feature list and range the electric SUV promises.
