JSW MG Motor India showcased the Majestor full-size SUV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show last month. This model is based on the facelifted Gloster (which is also due for coming months), and positioned premium than its donor SUV. Based on the ladder frame chassis, the MG Majestor looks more rugged than the regular Gloster, sharing some design elements with the global-spec Maxus D90 SUV. In India, it will challenge the dominance of the Toyota Fortuner in the premium 7-seater SUV segment.
Starting with its design, the MG Majestor features a large, blacked-out grille with horizontal slats, split headlamp clusters with vertically placed slim LED DRLs. The signature MG logo appears bigger than the regular badge. The black cladding running across its length, silver bash plate, 19-inch, 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels with chrome finished running board and blacked out wing mirrors and door handles give a rugged look to its side profile. The SUV has dual exhaust pipes, wraparound connected taillamps and a sporty skid plate at the back.
MG hasn’t yet revealed its dimensions. However, considering that the Majestor is based on the Maxus D90 Max, it’s expected to measure 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width and 1,876mm in height. Going by these figures, it will be 61 mm longer, 90 mm wider and 9 mm taller than the Gloster. Its wheelbase will be 2,950 mm, which similar to the Gloster.
The interior details of the MG Majestor are still under the wraps. Though, this full-size SUV is likely to come with a 12.3-inch, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, and all-digital instrument cluster. The all-black cabin theme will give it a sporty feel. The feature list is expected to be similar to the Gloster that comes with a 12-speaker audio system, three-zone climate control, heated/cooled/massaging driver’s seat with power adjust, a panoramic sunroof, a heated passenger seat, Level 2 ADAS, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360 degree cameras, electronic parking brake with auto hold, an electric tailgate and more.
Under the hood, the MG Majestor will employ the Golster’s 2.0L, 4-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The motor pushes out a maximum power of 216bhp and 476Nm of torque. The SUV will come with the 4X4 option.
