The 2025 Bharat Mobility Show has witnessed the unveiling of the new Skoda Kodiaq. This flagship 7-seater SUV gets an updated exterior design and changes to the interior with many features. Let's have a detailed look at the new Kodiaq:
The new model of the SUV carries Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ design language and features new Matrix LED headlamps, a connected grille, and a revised wheel design. The SUV also gets new C-shaped taillamps, a shark fin antenna and roof-mounted spoiler which add a sporty vibe to the rear.
With the generation change, the Kodiaq has grown in size. Its length has increased by 61mm, now measuring 4.75 meters. It sits slightly lower than the outgoing model, while its overall width and wheelbase remain unchanged.
The interior layout of the new Kodiaq is similar to that of the new Superb executive sedan. It features a minimalist design with the same two-spoke steering wheel, a larger 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Although, you can also get a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, ventilated and heated front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, a branded sound system, and a powered tailgate.
Globally, the new Kodiaq is offered in 5 and 7-seat configurations. In India, however, it will come only in the 7-seat layout.
The SUV offers four engine options which are 1.5-litre turbo petrol mild hybrid (producing 147.95 bhp), a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol plug-in-hybrid (churn out 201.21 bhp), a 2-litre petrol (which produces 201.21 bhp/ 261.37 bhp), and a 2-litre diesel (producing 147.95 bhp and 190 bhp).
