The Mahindra BE 6e comes in two versions of the battery. The starting version is the 59 kWh pack promising 228 hp and the other version is the 79 kWh promising 281 hp. But they both come with ARAI-certified ranges of 535 km and 682 km respectively and produce a 380 Nm torque. It has decent acceleration as well, taking 6.7 seconds to hit 0-100 km/h.
In comparison, the Tata Curvv EV is available with smaller 45 kWh and 55 kWh battery packs. The former churns out 148 bhp, and the latter 165 bhp, with 215 Nm of torque each. Curvv EV is approved to be with a range of 502 km and 585 km at 45 kWh and 55 kWh. It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.
Although both are efficient, the BE 6e is better in terms of power, range, and acceleration than the other car and thus a robust performer.
The Mahindra BE 6e has a coupe-inspired SUV design featuring a closed grille, flared wheel arches, and dual-tone finishes. The dynamic appeal is furthered through sharp C-shaped LED DRLs, wraparound taillights, and a split spoiler.
Tata Curvv EV is a sporty but classy SUV-coupe-looking car that features flush door handles, flower-shaped 18-inch alloy wheels, and a sloping roof. Its powered tailgate along with sleek LED DRLs gives Curvv a premium look.
Even though both are designed to be modern in styling, BE 6e has a bent more toward bold, futuristic design, whereas Curvv brings a balance of being sporty and elegant at the same time.
Inside, the BE 6e is pretty impressive with the advanced cockpit-like dashboard offering two 12.3-inch displays and sophisticated MAIA software. The vehicle has one distinct feature, which was unique tunes designed by AR Rahman, and the AR addition to the augmented head-up display gives it a dash of uniqueness for this automobile. Panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and BYOD functionality have also been offered on the convenience features.
The Tata Curvv EV features a huge cabin with premium amenities, boasting the 12.3-inch infotainment system and speakers by JBL, ventilated seats, and dual climate control. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be there along with a power-adjustable driver's seat, and an illuminated Tata logo.
Both the interiors come equipped with a huge list of features, but BE 6e tries to get their attention to its focus on advanced technology as its one area of distinction above the Curvv EV.
Both the SUVs have delivered at the highest end of safety. The Mahindra BE 6e offers Level 2+ ADAS. That consists of lane-keeping assist, auto parking, and monitoring of driver fatigue. This car delivers as many as 7 airbags and 360 degrees of cameras along with many advanced braking technologies.
Another with Level 2 ADAS is the Tata Curvv EV. Its list of features boasts 20 items that include the likes of blind spot collision warning and rear cross-traffic alert. Some of its standard safety features are six airbags, an electronic parking brake, and ABS with EBD.
Despite both cars having excellent safety packages, the BE 6e has a bit more up-to-date ADAS system and extra airbags.

Mahindra BE 6e starts at Rs. 18.90 lakh for the lowest version with a 59 kWh battery. The variant above this will be released, with prices to be decided, by the company in January 2025.
Curvv EV by Tata starts from Rs. 17.49 lakh with the 45 kWh battery and goes as high as Rs. 21.99 lakh with the 55 kWh top version.
Cheaper and with a far wider range of variants, the Curvv EV will even catch the budget-conscious buyer. The BE 6e, however, definitely justifies its premium price in better performance and features.
