Renault Boreal, which is the 7-seater version of the Duster, is expected to debut globally on July 10, 2025. Its India launch will follow next year. This model is set to offer more space and practicality while keeping the rugged DNA of the Duster intact.
Built on the versatile CMF-B platform, which supports petrol, hybrid, and electric powertrains, the Boreal will feature a strong hybrid setup producing around 155hp, with 108hp coming from the petrol engine alone and the rest from an electric motor powered by a larger 1.4kWh battery pack.
Renault Boreal is expected to get a bold new grille, LED lighting, roof rails, and SUV-style body cladding.
While Renault has not officially revealed the feature list, the new Boreal is expected to come loaded with high-end features to attract modern buyers.
Expected highlights include a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and dual-zone climate control.
The 7-seater SUV may also offer premium touches such as a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, and advanced safety features like electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera, and ADAS technology.
Apart from the Duster models, Renault will also introduce a small electric car aimed at budget buyers. This A-segment EV will help the brand tap into the fast-growing affordable EV segment in India.
Additionally, the updated versions of the Renault Triber and Kiger are on the way. Their electric variants are also in development and expected to launch in the coming years.
With this fresh product line-up, Renault is targeting a strong comeback in India. The third-gen Duster, 7-seater Boreal, A-segment EV, and updated Triber and Kiger models are all part of the company’s long-term vision to expand its footprint in one of the world’s most competitive automotive markets. These launches will not only diversify Renault’s portfolio but also position it better in both the ICE and EV segments.
