In the Indian automotive safety feat, Mahindra SUVs have comfortably found three receiving the country's highest 5-star rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP). The highest rating signifies Mahindra's commitment of getting safe and reliable automobiles on Indian roads.
That Mahindra Thar ROXX is the first body-on-frame SUV to be rated 5-star by Bharat NCAP. It scored 31.09 out of a possible 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection (COP). It is the highest mark ever given by the Bharat NCAP standards to any vehicle with an internal combustion engine. Available in the AX5L and MX3 variants, the Thar ROXX weighs 2,288 kg and is fully manufactured in India.
The Thar ROXX comes well-equipped with safety features, including front, side, and thorax airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, and ISOFIX child restraint systems, which will help protect occupants in all kinds of crashes. The five-star rating in side-impact crash tests came with advanced safety technologies. It consists of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), seat belt reminders, and pedestrian protection features as standard fitments across variants. Solid structural strength combined with cutting-edge safety technology makes Thar ROXX the right vehicle for families who want adventure mixed with full safety.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO also obtained a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, with the AOP scoring 29.36 out of 32 points and COP scoring 43 out of 49. The two-row SUV, with the AX7L and MX2, features its standard safety offerings consisting of front and side curtain airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and belt pre-tensioners to provide all-around safety for passengers. Thus, this is the perfect family-friendly SUV in the Indian market.
Also, the XUV 3XO performed exceptionally on both frontal and side-impact crash tests. It is coupled with its safety through Safety Assist Technologies like ESC, seat belt reminders, and pedestrian protection. This is a very well-rounded vehicle that sets safety-conscious occupants at ease. The company's move towards integrating more advanced safety features in a vehicle speaks to Mahindra's goal of ensuring reliable protection under all conditions of driving.
Mahindra's electric SUV XUV 400 EV has achieved the safety mark with a rating of 5-star which is given by Bharat NCAP. Having an AOP score of 30.38 out of 32 and a COP score of 43 out of 49, the XUV 400 EV ensures no compromise about adult or child safety. The XUV 400 EV will come in trims like the EC L and EL LH(O). Some key safety features of this vehicle include standard frontal airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, and an airbag cut-off switch.
The XUV 400 EV shone in crash tests, especially when it managed to attain a five-star rating in side-impact protection. ESC, seat belt reminders, and pedestrian protection are offered by the Mahindra electric SUV, ensuring the reliability and safety of an electric dream in a family's stable. This model will most likely appeal to the safety-conscious buyer in an increasingly large market for electric vehicles.
